For each retreat a Monk from a European Ashram comes to stay with us during the week. The Ashram represents Advaita Tradition, which is the founder of the European movement “Yogi for Peace”.
A great value for us is the fact that our daily sacred Vedic practices are provided by real Spiritual Gurus. They pave the path, provide the conditions we need to embark on a journey inwards.
It doesn’t matter what your spiritual beliefs are - God, the Universe, Absolute or a Human Being. What is important is the personal spiritual path based on principles and virtues, you have taken.
Banana retreat is a magical space where people who have chosen spiritual growth as the main meaning of life will guide you in meditation, chant mantras with you, do sacred pranayama, answer your questions or just laugh at something and share joy of being together.
Step by step you learn not to be led by emotions, to keep inner calmness, you are destined to find Peace and Love.
YOGA
True Yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life.
We practice Kundalini yoga on our retreat which is considered as Royal and one of the "fastest" styles of yoga.
Kundalini Yoga will help you to:
- Strengthen the physical body, increase flexibility and endurance;
- Be able to replenish vital energy supply;
- Overcome fears, prejudices and limitations;
- Balance the work of the nervous system and increase stress resistance.
SURFING
You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.
The combination of surfing and yoga captures the essence of our goals like no other. Both of these activities help you to achieve a state of unity between yourself and the world.
In order to stand on surf board, you need maximum concentration level and ocean trust. In order to ride on it, you should be completely relaxed and at the same time fully in the present moment with sense of joy of what is happening right now.
Our professional surfing instructors will provide you with all necessary equipment and knowledge to catch your first ever wave or to ride waves for experienced ones at the most suitable surfing spot on the south coast of the island - Playa de las Américas.
NUTRITION
A healthy, nourished body is the foundation of wellbeing.
Our goal is to promote conscious and healthy lifestyle, to be grateful and caring for Mother Nature and protect her.
On Banana retreat there are 3 meals a day of delicious plant-based cuisine from our French chef Jean Arnold. Every dish is created with whole ingredients, seasonal fruits and vegetables, crafted with love and blessing. Every meal is an art with various flavours and colours.
And of course we feel a deep sense of gratitude for the nature of the island, where plenty of bananas grow. The local banana forests gave as a gift the name to our retreat.
HIKING AND TReKKING

Every day we’re inspired by nature of the island we live on. Tenerife has mild climate all year around and picturesque diverse paysage.
During our retreat we will discover the local nature while hiking above the clouds in the mountains and trekking along the paths and cliffs on the coastline.
We recharge our batteries from the Sun, the Wind and the Ocean being connected to our home, Earth.
